Tim Lutgen developed his passion for woodworking under the guidance of his grandfather (a master craftsman of church altars and crosses) in 1962. Although Tim did not choose Fine Woodworking as his primary career, he has experience building bedroom sets, dining tables and chairs, end tables, bookcases, and miscellaneous artistic projects over the years. Tim has taught previous Fine Woodworking courses for FeU and is now a part-time faculty member at Hurley High School, teaching Fine Woodworking in the Woods program. Tim is retired, living in Mercer, and enjoys designing and building his own furniture and artistic creations.
