Beth Tornes, a retired grant writer and longtime Lac du Flambeau resident, has a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Utah, and has taught Creative Writing and Poetry classes as an Assistant Professor at Beloit College. She’s also taught poetry workshops at Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation, Camp Nawakwa Women’s Retreat, and UW-Madison’s “Write by the Lake.” She has published four collections of poetry, published widely in literary magazines, and edited a collection of oral histories, Memories of Lac du Flambeau Elders.
