Intermediate Guitar

This course will take place on Wednesdays, Oct. 1, 8, 15, and 22, 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the Mercer Community Center, with Don Dugan.

If you have a beginner’s grasp of strumming, open position notes and chords, and are ready for more, then this class is for you! We will include techniques for spicing up those things you already know, and an introduction to blues and soloing, fingerpicking, and gaining some fretboard fluency. Some simple theory information will be included, but only useful, practical concepts. Grab your guitar and let’s take your playing to the next level!

Student prerequisites: Basic grasp of strumming, tuning, open position chords and notes.

This class is limited to 8 students.

Course Cancellations: Students are encouraged to register at least 2 weeks before the beginning of any Fe University course. A course with less than 4 students 2 weeks before the start date may be cancelled at instructor/FeU discretion, with students’ registrations refunded. If you’re interested in a class, please sign up early! Thank you.

Student Cancellations: If a registered student cancels, registration can be refunded if requested 4 or more days before the course’s start date. We’re afraid cancellation requests made 3 or fewer days before the course’s start date are unable to be refunded.
