This free course (registration is required) will take place on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, 10:00 a.m.-noon, at Northwoods Unitarian Universality Fellowship, with Dave Havel, Jennie Kotula, and Ann Sorensen.

Upon completion of this course, students will have a thorough understanding of Habitat for Humanity of the Northwoods and its impact on surrounding communities. Students will explore:

- The historical context of Habitat, both locally and nationally
- The principles of homeownership
- Current building projects in Rhinelander and Sayner – Home design considerations
- The Habitat ReStore, which serves as a home improvement retail outlet
- Opportunities for involvement with Habitat for Humanity
Students will also take part in a simulation to get individuals to think about issues that people with low incomes experience when seeking housing.
