SUMMARY:An Introduction to Winter Dog-Powered Sports
DESCRIPTION:We will spend approximately one hour inside for a presentation/discussion and lunch before we go out to meet the dogs. Participants will learn about the various types of equipment including harnesses\, ganglines\, sled types and skis. We will also discuss how to work with the dogs and what to expect once you are driving the sled. And of course\, we will talk about dogs. \nFollowing the indoor session participants will be hands-on: \n·   Hooking the gangline to the sled \n·   Hooking the team to the sled \n·   Driving a dog team \nFor those comfortable on skis\, we will include a skijoring lesson following dog sledding.
