DESCRIPTION:This course will take place on Wednesdays\, April 22\, 29\, May 6 and 13\, 2026\, Noon-1:30 p.m. at the Mercer Community Center\, with Don Dugan.\nRather than focusing on theory and isolated techniques\, this course–a follow-up to Fe University’s “Intermediate Guitar” course with Don Dugan in October 2025–will consist of application of technique to 6-8 classic songs. Works of the Eagles\, Dylan\, Willie Nelson\, etc. will be featured. \nInstructor Don Dugan of Mercer has been playing guitar for 50+ years. He has learned through some formal lessons\, but is mostly self taught. We will include techniques for spicing up those things you already know\, and an introduction to blues and soloing\, fingerpicking\, and gaining some fretboard fluency. Some simple theory information will be included\, but only useful\, practical concepts.
