Title: Investing 101

Course structure: The course will be given in 4 sessions, each 2 hours long, covering the following topics:
Week 1: Intro/Foundations of Investing
Week 2: Stocks
Week 3: Bonds/CDs/Fixed Income
Week 4: Mutual Funds/Investing Fees and conclusion of class activity
Requirements: Students will participate in 2-3 investment activities and a final activity to wrap up the class. The course will also use the book Investing for Dummies by Eric Tyson, c2014.
Instructor: Joseph Lemke, AAMS, is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Ironwood, Michigan. Lemke, a Park Falls native, has been with Edward Jones since 2009 after receiving his Bachelor of Science from UW Madison and certification as an accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) from the College of financial Planning. He holds licenses in General Securities, Uniform Combined State Law, AAMS, and Life and Long Term Care Insurance. Lemke served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 2008-2014 and in his spare time enjoys fishing, boating and Lake Superior.
