Course Title-Basic Conversational Spanish I

Course Fee: $36 or $41 after Feb 7
Objectives: Useful Spanish conversation for travel or just to enrich will be explored while we also touch on the basics of the language and its structure.
Course structure: The course will be given in _8__ sessions, each _90_ minutes long, covering the following topics:
*Pronunciation and basic grammar
*Greetings, days, months
*numbers –to be used for shopping!!
*ordering in a restaurant
*foods from the many Spanish-speaking regions
*transportation and getting around the city
Requirements: Come prepared to have fun! Bring a notebook and a folder to hold handouts. This class will start at the beginning, so no prior knowledge is necessary. If the skill level is higher, we will use more advanced information.
Instructor: Natalie Patritto: Graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in English and a minor in German. Later, she received a license to teach Spanish through the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Graduate credits in Spanish from Northern Michigan University. While teaching high school Spanish for the last 26 years she has taken students and adults on trips to Europe- including Spain, Costa Rica and New York City. In addition to teaching, she has done translating for individuals, law enforcement, and companies.
